Sugar-free topical dental cream with Recaldent CPP-ACP. Recaldent™ is derived from the milk protein casein. Studies have shown that its protective effects are partly due to the casein protein called Casein Phosphopeptide (or CPP), which contains calcium and phosphate ions in the form of Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (or ACP). This CPP-ACP complex is therefore an ideal delivery system for bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions. It restores mineral balance in the oral environment, provides extra protection for teeth, and helps neutralize acid-producing bacteria in plaque and other internal and external acid sources. It is indicated for patients with salivary deficiencies such as xerostomia or for patients who find adequate oral hygiene difficult. It also reduces dentin hypersensitivity after professional cleaning or whitening, when applied topically or in a tray. It transforms the dullness of white spots caused by decalcification, for example, after orthodontic treatment. Deliciously flavored, it leaves teeth feeling cleaner and smoother.
