MTA Flow™ is a bioactive material. The formation of hydroxyapatite (HA) coats the surface of the MTA exposed to body fluids, and this HA layer no longer appears as a foreign material to living cells. Therefore, MTA promotes better healing. Indications for use: MTA Flow™ is designed for use in dental procedures involving pulp and periradicular tissues, and dental procedures involving vital pulp tissue. These include pulpotomy, pulp capping, root-end filling, apexification, perforation repair, and root resorption. MTA Flow™ offers dentists a mineral trioxide aggregate in powder/gel form used in many dental procedures. The combination of powder and gel provides a variety of mixing options necessary for an effective, non-sandy, and easy-to-administer MTA.
