For monitoring vacuum-assisted steam sterilization cycles at 121-134°C and gravity-fed air-displacement steam sterilization cycles at 121-134°C. Polypropylene random copolymer tube, 44.0 mm high, 8.5 mm outer diameter. 0.5 mm wall thickness. Polypropylene cap: 13.0 mm high, 10.5 mm outer diameter. 1.0 mm wall thickness. Glass ampoule: 35.0-38.0 mm high. 6.5 mm outer diameter. 0.2-0.3 mm wall thickness. Culture medium: 0.5-0.7 ml, purple. Cap filter: 60 g/m² medical-grade paper, 16.0 mm diameter. 8.0 mm diameter, 160 g/m² filter paper. 10⁵ or 10⁶ spores of Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 per vial. Positive spore growth result (sterilization failure): the culture medium turns yellow. Incubation at 60°C for 24 hours (maximum). D-value: not less than 1.5 minutes at 121°C. Another D-value is obtained at 134°C for calculating the Z-value. Z-value: not less than 6°C.
